Romance in the Ruins
As a born and bred Cantab, I've lived my entire life in Christchurch, and I've witnessed the city transform from the bustling place it once was, through the destruction of the earthquakes and out the other side, continuing to watch it grow. With that said, it was only natural for the vision of the first Christchurch Weddings shoot to capture city life in its current state, with the bright, bold backdrops scattered around town, and the perfectly balanced mixture of our beginnings with modern, trendy elements - which of course led us to New Regent Street and local restaurant Twenty Seven Steps as the sun went down. Being able to bring this vision to life has been incredibly rewarding, as Christchurch continues to grow, our landscape will continue to evolve, and these memories will become just that as change comes - memories.
"Taking to the streets, we battled the bellowing wind to capture a love story amongst the beautiful chaos of our ever evolving city. In a landscape once packed with history, now reshaped and invigorated with an injection of new, we allowed bold backdrops to speak for themselves, and played on our love for the foragers paradise that is Christchurch".
