Set in 30 acres of park grounds and only minutes from central Christchurch, The Quarters at Riccarton House offers a beautiful feel and unique atmosphere for your wedding. Built in 1856 by the Deans family, the heritage homestead offers a warm and intimate haven for your friends and family to enjoy your special day.

Along with receptions in the homestead, we can offer stunning marquees on our back lawn for larger weddings.

There are a number of locations, both inside and outside, to choose from for your ceremony and reception, each area provides a beautiful backdrop for you to exchange your vows. In the Rose Garden courtyard, on the Marquee lawn under one of the magnificent trees, or even a very unique option of having the ceremony in the centre of the bush itself surrounded by 600-year-old Kahikatea trees.

Riccarton House is also a stunning backdrop for a winter wedding. Ceremonies are held in the Fine Dining Room with the warmth of the open fireplace then moving through for pre-dinner drinks in the Entrance Hall and on to the Drawing Room for dinner.

Our catering is in-house and we offer a wide range of different options for dining.  Our Head Chef, Sam Marchant, takes inspiration from the Farmers’ Market with a strong focus on locally produced, seasonal products and dishes.
